Job Description:

The Associate Attorney will be primarily responsible for preparing contracts and other legal documents; ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, providing general legal advice to field offices; assisting in the attention and investigation of all matters assigned to the Legal Department. Must be able to conduct legal research in various databases, analyze legal documents and draft responses. He/She will be responsible for the management of legal records. This position reports to the Vice President Legal and Corporate Affairs, US & Canada.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1.A J.D degree from an ABA accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in any state will be preferable. If not yet admitted to a state bar, law school grades ranking in the highest twentieth percentile.
2.One year plus doing similar work with a law firm or corporation. Alternatively, (3) years experience as paralegal or equivalent work experience in a legal related field.
3.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels and ability to influence and achieve successful results.
4.Excellent communication skills in English. Candidates with business level fluency in Spanish will be given preferential consideration.
5.PC literate and other relevant technology competencies like internet search and Westlaw and/or Lexis/Nexis for legal research.
6.Willing to travel due to business necessity.
7.Must achieve a passing score in a test to be determined by the Human Resources Office, United States and Canada.
8.MUST HAVE LEGAL EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES.
