AlternativeLawyerJobs.com was founded by lawyer and entrepreneur Stephen Fine as a one-stop resource to assist the growing number of lawyers seeking alternative legal and non-legal career opportunities.

Stephen, who has a fulfilling career as both in-house counsel and an entrepreneur, came up with the concept after speaking with a number of lawyer colleagues who were dissatisfied with private practice and seeking alternative careers.

Some were seeking in-house counsel and law related roles, some were interested in leaving the legal profession to seek non-legal careers, some sought part time or contract legal work so they would have more time to spend with their families or work on their own ventures, while others were seeking entrepreneurial opportunities to join start-ups and small businesses.

The result of these conversations was the creation of AlternativeLawyerJobs.com, a job posting board and information resource catering exclusively to lawyers seeking all of the following career opportunities:

• In-house, government and non-profit counsel positions;
• Law related careers;
• Non-legal careers;
• Part time and contract legal work; and
• Opportunities to join start-ups and small businesses.
